PhotoShop Learning Woe's

I am taking an excellent online PhotoShop course but I am having absolute nightmares trying to understand the program. I jumped into this course too soon and should have spent some time reading tutorials and practicing them. The lessons aren't supposed to be hard but my mind just does not grasp the layout, the buttons the nomenclature. Very frustrating.
